MACOMB, Ill. - Western Illinois University head baseball coach
Stan Hyman today began 30 days of chemotherapy treatments as a result of his
recent diagnosis of Leukemia.
Hyman was diagnosed last week, after undergoing several weeks of tests, and has now begun his treatments at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria,
Ill.

Brock Bainter will be handling all baseball-related duties during Hyman’s absence.
Hyman is coming off his 8th season as the skipper for the Leathernecks. He won his 350th career game against Centenary on May 16th and has
recorded victories over nationally-ranked opponents such as Long Beach State, Missouri, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, Iowa, Kansas
State, Michigan State, Illinois-Chicago and Oral Roberts during his tenure at Western.
