Earned nationwide attention as the recipient of the College Sporting News Football Championship Subdivision Player of the Week award (Sept. 7) and earned the first Missouri Valley Football Conference co-Offensive Player of the Week honor (Sept. 7) after throwing for 437 yards in the season-opening 35-28 win at Sam Houston State (Sept. 3)... voted team captain... received the prestigious Lincoln-Laureate Academic Award... completed 18-of-26 passes for 437 yards and three touchdowns in the opening win at Sam Houston State... the 437 passing yards were second-highest in program history... it marked just the 19th time in league history that a quarterback had thrown for 400+ yards and ranked eighth-best in league history for a single game... rushed for 28 yards and threw for 117 (14-of-22) at Northern Illinois... went 20-of-42 for 270 yards and two touchdowns against Stephen F. REDSHIRT-FRESHMAN (2007): Gateway All-Newcomer Team... ranked second among WIU freshmen QBs in passing yards (1,305) and efficiency (109.09)... matched the school record for freshman wins (5) and completions (115)... averaged 242 passing yards over the last two games... set school records for single-game and single-season rushing yards by a QB (114 vs. South Dakota State, 385 total)... owns three of the top seven rushing games by a QB, contributing to the league's top rushing offense... entered game one on the second drive and started all other games... won the Dr. Frank Sorenson Award for Academic Achievement, given to the Leatherneck with the highest cumulative grade point average... earned the Gateway Commissioner's Academic Excellence Award... named to the league's honor roll.

FRESHMAN (2006): Redshirted... named Offensive Scout Team Co-Player of the Year.

HIGH SCHOOL: An all-conference quarterback and punter... the league's 2005 offensive MVP... an academic all-state honoree... named to the IHSA Coaches Association and News-Gazette all-state lists... completed 62 percent of his passes and rushed for more than 1,000 yards in 2005... averaged 9.4 yards per carry... twice qualified for the state playoffs and posted a 19-5 record.
