Scope
The improvements come as part of the University’s commitment to improve cost effectiveness and accountability and ensure a safe environment for its students. The renovation will enhance student safety and allow greater access for all students. Funding for the project is supported by a facilities enhancement and life safety fee of $7 per credit hour established at the request of student leaders.
The renovation to the east side of the stadium, part of the Western Illinois University Master Facilities Plan and the largest facility improvement of the Target: Western Forward Facilities Initative, includes new bleachers, increased seating capacity, new entrance, restrooms and concession stands.
